my favorites from the fall collection & a discount

i  always wished that i was someone who could keep journals, but it’s just something that i was never able to do. i think it’s because the large white pages are a little intimidating. or it could be because i’m not the sentimental type – in fact my sister sometimes calls me a robot.

but the new kraft journaling spots and the “i’m grateful journal” is just the right amount of memory keeping i need. i’m enjoying writing the lists that are prompted on the little notes – especially the “dreaming of …” ones. who doesn’t like to make a list of everything they want to do and have.

the “i’m thankful for …” pocket journal is a nice little keepsake that i keep around and make simple notes in whenever i think of something. i’m thinking of passing one around the thanksgiving table and having everyone write in it for a keepsake.

here’s something to be thankful for – right now you can get 20% off your order from shopletterCdesign.com. simple enter the coupon code “givethanks” when checking out. keep in the loop of new products and promotions by signing up for the newsletter.

back home

the woman’s day event was fun and successful. i met a lot of people, made some sales and my mom took home a bunch of samples – making my suitcase just as heavy going home as it was on the trip down.

no matter how much i try, i am not a city person. i think all of the crowds and the hurried pace is kind of stressful. i get the greatness of it – all the things you can do and see, but when i am there, my favorite places to be are my uncle and aunts condo and taking a walk to central park.

today on my drive to my office to unpack everything i saw a couple of girls walking a dog and twin goats (not sure it there is such a thing as twin goats, but they looked a lot alike). not sure why they were walking goats, but i thought that this is more my pace.

in the city

today i hopped on a train and headed for new york city. tomorrow i will be at woman’s day magazine’s first annual make it a woman’s day event. so if you are near grand central terminal stop by and visit.

for the last couple of weeks I have been packaging up lots of products while enjoying my new favorite lunch – just veggies with dip. simple and easy. i’ll have some new products available at the event and next week they will be available online.

weekly worktable

here’s what has been happening around the studio the past week or so. school started this week for my nieces and nephew and before the first day they spent some time here with me in the studio.

after creating our own dotted tissue paper my niece made a hanging puff ball to go in her and her sister’s newly decorated purple and green room.

while making the puff ball, my other niece opened up her own stationery store. for $1.50 i was able to get a card and a hand cut letter “c”. (in the past things were free, but i am making sure she is putting value on her time – even if i never get my cut for the supplies). look at that cute packaging – if elementary school doesn’t work out for her maybe there is a place here at letter C.

somewhere along the line i have lovingly been given the nick name aunty chinese food. it seems whenever someone in the family wants some chinese food they come here and we order too much and than gather around the conference room table.

the last two calendars for 2013 were finally finished and now available here.

lots of calendars and other goodies have been shipping out.

letter C on film

i was reading this post about packaging on etsy and noticed a video by april from flourish cafe. she has purchased some labels from me a few times in the past, so i had to watch it.

if you look closely you’ll see some ticking return address labels and some of the mini hearts. the wasabi tape and all of her little packing touches are so clever – even her nails match her branding!
